Free Trial, Subscription & Cancellation Policy

Clear information about the seven-day trial, £5.99 monthly membership, cancellation and refunds.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

1. Price and free trial

NextGEN Student membership is £5.99 per month unless checkout clearly shows a different price. Eligible new members receive seven days free and must provide a valid payment method before the trial begins. The checkout page confirms the price and billing terms before you subscribe.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, membership automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription and Stripe charges the payment method supplied. Only one introductory trial may be available per person, account or payment method.

2. Immediate access and cancellation rights

Your access to the digital learning service starts immediately when the trial begins. Before checkout, you must expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that beginning supply may affect your statutory right to cancel digital content once supply has begun. This does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time through the subscription management facility. If you cannot access it, use the Contact us form. We will not require a reason or intentionally make cancellation difficult.

If you cancel during the trial before the first charge, it will not become paid. If you cancel after payment, access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for and no further recurring charge is taken, unless another statutory right applies.

4. Failed payments and price changes

If payment fails, we may notify you, attempt collection and restrict paid access while payment remains outstanding. We may change the price in future, but will provide legally required advance notice and explain when the change takes effect and what choices you have.

5. Refunds

Cancelling normally prevents future charges but does not automatically refund a billing period already begun. We will provide a refund where the law requires it and may provide one where you were charged incorrectly or twice, the service suffered a material failure, or we otherwise consider it appropriate.

Request a refund through the Contact us form, including your account email, payment date, reason and relevant transaction information. Do not send full card details. Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method; timing depends on Stripe and your bank.

6. Renewal communications and legal changes

We will provide subscription reminders, cancellation routes and other information where applicable law requires them. The UK has enacted additional subscription protections under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. We will update the service and this policy as the relevant provisions and regulations take effect. Nothing in this policy limits statutory consumer rights.

7. Educational and AI disclaimer

NextGEN Student is an educational study aid, not a clinical, diagnostic, treatment or emergency service. Its content is not comprehensive and may contain errors despite accuracy checks. The AI Mentor is generated by AI and may provide inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information.

Verify important information and use the service to supplement-not replace-university and placement learning, clinical supervision and professional reasoning. NextGEN Student is not an academic source and must not be cited, referenced or introduced as a source in academic assignments.

8. Complaints and accessibility

Use the Contact us form for billing complaints or accessibility barriers. Explain what happened, relevant dates and the outcome you seek. We will investigate and consider reasonable improvements. We aim for keyboard-accessible navigation, meaningful headings, labelled forms, readable type, appropriate contrast and alternative text, but do not claim full compliance with a particular standard without an appropriate assessment.
