1. The service
NextGEN Student is an educational platform for physiotherapy students. It includes structured teaching, quizzes, clinical cases, OSCE and placement resources, progress tracking and an AI-powered learning assistant. It supplements, and does not replace, university teaching, placement learning, clinical supervision, professional standards or local policies.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The service is intended for people aged 16 or over. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that your information is accurate. If you are under 18, involve a parent or guardian where the law requires it.
You must keep your login secure, not share your account or subscription, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may reasonably restrict an account in response to fraud, misuse, unlawful activity or a serious breach of these terms.
3. Membership, trial and payment
Membership costs £5.99 per month unless checkout clearly displays a different price. A new eligible member receives a seven-day free trial and provides payment details in advance through Stripe. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, membership automatically becomes paid and renews monthly until cancelled.
The price, trial end and recurring terms shown at checkout form part of your agreement. Failed payment may result in paid access being restricted. Full details are in the Subscription & Cancellation Policy.
4. Cancellation and consumer rights
You may cancel through the subscription management facility. Trial cancellation before the first charge prevents conversion to paid membership. Paid access normally continues to the end of the period already paid for. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights.
Access to digital content begins immediately when you start the trial. Before checkout, we ask for your express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that this can affect the statutory right to cancel once supply begins.
5. Educational, clinical and AI limitations
The material is not comprehensive and, despite efforts to check accuracy, may contain mistakes. AI responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or overly confident. Verify important information using authoritative academic, professional and clinical sources.
The service does not diagnose, prescribe, treat patients or provide patient-specific advice. Never rely on it as the sole basis for a real clinical decision, urgency decision, treatment or discharge. Follow your educator, university, placement provider, professional standards, clinical guidelines and local escalation procedures.
NextGEN Student material is not an academic source and must not be cited, referenced or introduced as a source in academic assignments. It supports learning and clinical reasoning; it does not replace either.
6. Confidentiality and patient information
Never enter identifiable patient or confidential placement information. This includes names, addresses, dates of birth, NHS or institutional numbers, photographs, identifiable notes or combinations of facts that could identify someone. Use fictional or appropriately anonymised scenarios and follow your university and placement confidentiality rules.
7. Academic integrity and acceptable use
You must follow your university’s rules on AI and academic integrity. You must not fabricate placements, patient encounters, competencies, CPAF evidence, reflections or clinical records; submit AI-generated work as your own where prohibited; attack or overload the service; bypass safeguards; scrape protected content; introduce malicious code; or attempt to extract confidential system instructions.
ResearchLens (the research paper breakdown tool) is provided as a study aid only. It is not a substitute for fully reading, critically appraising and digesting a research paper yourself, and its output may be incomplete or incorrect. The breakdown - in whole or in part, including its summaries, questions, flashcards or any other section - must not be used in, copied into or submitted as part of any academic assignment, coursework or assessment. Misusing the output in this way is a serious breach of these terms and of academic integrity. Anyone found to have done so will have their account cancelled immediately without the right to a refund, and the matter may be reported to the relevant university or professional body. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
8. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the service and its teaching content, diagrams, questions, cases, software, design and branding are owned by or licensed to NextGEN Physio Ltd. Membership grants a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for your own study. You may not substantially copy, republish, sell, redistribute, scrape, share paid resources or use them to create a competing product without written permission.
You retain ownership of prompts or other content you submit and grant us only the rights needed to store and process it to provide, secure and improve the service.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may reasonably update content, functionality or these terms for service, legal or security reasons. We will give appropriate notice where a change materially affects your rights or obligations.
10. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by relying on educational or AI-generated material without appropriate verification or supervision. We do not guarantee grades, examination or placement results, professional registration or employment.
11. Complaints and contact
Use the Contact us form for account support, refunds, complaints, accessibility barriers, privacy requests or reports of unsafe or inaccurate content. Include relevant dates and enough detail to investigate, but do not include patient-identifiable information. We will acknowledge and investigate complaints where reasonably practicable.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections that apply in their country of residence. If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply. These terms and the policies linked within them form our agreement concerning the service.
13. Refer a friend
Members can share a personal referral code. When a new person signs up with that code and their first monthly membership payment succeeds after the free trial, the member who shared the code receives one free month as a credit of one month's membership fee against their next payment. There is no limit on how many free months a member can earn.
A referral only qualifies if the new member uses an email address and payment card that have not been used on NextGEN Student before, and is not the referring member. Referrals from a network already linked to another account may be held for manual review. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are lost if the membership ends. We may refuse, reverse or withdraw credits, or close accounts, where we reasonably believe the scheme has been misused, for example by creating multiple accounts. We may change or end the scheme with reasonable notice; credits already earned will be honoured.
